L’inquadratura in bianco e nero coglie il passaggio di un ciclista durante una gara, ripreso da bordo strada con un tempo di scatto lento. Mentre lo sfondo resta leggibile mostrando la pubblicità di una nota marca di caffè, il corridore e la bicicletta si fondono con la texture dell’asfalto in un gioco di ombre e riflessi metallici.
In questo scatto assistiamo a una vera e propria smaterializzazione del corpo solido: sotto la spinta della velocità, la sostanza fisica perde opacità per farsi trasparenza. È come se il soggetto entrasse in un metaverso visivo dove la massa scompare per lasciare il posto all’energia che si rivela in un flusso luminoso.
La foto suggerisce, in una sintesi quasi futurista, come la realtà non sia fatta di oggetti ma di linee-forza che attraversano lo spazio, rendendo ciò che è solido una presenza immateriale.
A ghost on two wheels

In this shot, we witness a true dematerialization of the solid body: under the push of speed, physical substance loses opacity to become transparency. It is as if the subject enters a visual metaverse where mass disappears to give way to energy revealed in a luminous flow.
The photo suggests, in an almost Futurist synthesis, how reality is not made of objects but of force-lines crossing space, making what is solid an immaterial presence.
