The space-time between two containers
In questa foto in bianco e nero due campane per i rifiuti dominano il primo piano, trasformandosi in massicci volumi geometrici che comprimono lo spazio. Nel varco millimetrico tra le loro curvature, sul marciapiede opposto, appare per un istante una figura maschile in movimento.
La relazione tra i volumi è brutale: la pesantezza statica dei contenitori incornicia la fragilità dell’uomo che passa. Non è solo uno scorcio visivo, ma la dimostrazione plastica della relazione tra spazio e tempo. Esiste un unico istante in cui la figura si allinea perfettamente alla fessura tra le due “quinte”, prima di svanire nuovamente dietro la loro mole.
In questa frazione di secondo, il quotidiano si fa ritmo: c’è un attimo per tutto, anche per esistere brevemente tra un contenitore d’immondizia e l’altro, rivendicando uno spazio di passaggio per non essere schiacciato da un mondo dominato da ingombri inanimati.

In this black and white photo, two waste containers dominate the foreground, turning into massive geometric volumes that compress the space. In the millimetric gap between their curves, on the opposite sidewalk, a male figure appears for an instant in motion.
The relationship between the volumes is brutal: the static heaviness of the containers frames the fragility of the man passing by. It is not just a visual glimpse, but a plastic demonstration of the relationship between space and time. There is a single instant in which the figure aligns perfectly with the crack between the two “wings” before vanishing again behind their bulk.
In this fraction of a second, the everyday becomes rhythm: there is a moment for everything, even for briefly existing between one trash container and another, reclaiming a space of passage so as not to be crushed by a world dominated by inanimate obstacles.
