In questa fotografia l’equilibrio tra ciò che esiste e ciò che appare trasforma la strada in un unico scenario a due facce che origina dal punto mediale del fotogramma. Realtà e finzione sono talmente vicine che la distinzione non è immediata.
Se a sinistra vediamo il mondo della materia in movimento, a destra le stesse figure si ricompongono sulla superficie del vetro come pura proiezione di luce. In questo sdoppiamento millimetrico, l’oggetto fisico e la sua immagine riflessa convivono sullo stesso piano, lasciando che la sostanza del mondo reale coincida esattamente con la sua illusione.
The world in a shop window
In this photograph, the balance between what exists and what appears transforms the street into a single, two-sided scenery originating from the frame’s medial point. Reality and fiction are so close that the distinction is not immediate.
If on the left we see the world of matter in motion, on the right the same figures recompose on the glass surface as pure light projection. In this millimetric splitting, the physical object and its reflected image coexist on the same plane, letting the substance of the real world coincide exactly with its illusion.
