L’inquadratura si sofferma su una sezione di muro dove due grandi vetrine espongono gigantografie femminili in lingerie raffinata, che esaltano una sensualità esplicita. Proprio davanti a queste immagini, sul marciapiede, transitano due religiose nel loro abito tradizionale.
Da un lato il corpo è esibito come oggetto di desiderio e perfezione estetica; dall’altro la veste ne scherma le forme, lasciando emergere solo il profilo dei volti e il candore dei veli. Ci sono le ombre proiettate sul muro a creare un legame fisico inaspettato tra le sagome reali e quelle bidimensionali.
In questa scena la femminilità si sdoppia in due archetipi opposti che convivono nel medesimo spazio urbano: da una parte la dimensione erotica, che celebra l’esposizione e l’attrazione; dall’altra quella spirituale, che sceglie la discrezione.
Non è solo un incontro casuale tra le strade della città, ma una riflessione visiva sulla coesistenza di espressioni divergenti dove il sacro attraversa silenziosamente i luoghi del consumo, sfiorandoli, senza che i due mondi arrivino mai a toccarsi davvero.
Sacred and profane feminine
The frame lingers on a section of wall where two large windows display blow-ups of female figures in fine lingerie, exalting an explicit sensuality. Right in front of these images, on the sidewalk, two nuns pass by in their traditional habit.
On one side, the body is exhibited as an object of desire and aesthetic perfection; on the other, the garment shields its form, allowing only the profile of the faces and the whiteness of the veils to emerge. The shadows projected on the wall create an unexpected physical link between the real silhouettes and the two-dimensional ones.
In this scene, femininity splits into two opposite archetypes coexisting in the same urban space: on one hand, the erotic dimension, celebrating exposure and attraction; on the other, the spiritual one, which chooses discretion.
It is not just a chance encounter in the city streets, but a visual reflection on the coexistence of divergent expressions where the sacred silently passes through places of consumption, brushing against them, without the two worlds ever truly touching.
